PREREQUISITES • At least 13 years of age and older or completed the 8th grade by June 14th, 2026 • Attained First Class Rank • Unit Leaders Recommendation WHO All youth, meeting prerequisites, wanting to grow their leadership skills and take their unit to the next level. WHAT IS NATIONAL YOUTH LEADERSHIP TRAINING? National Youth Leadership Training (NYLT) is a week long course which features instruction in skills that can be used at home, at school, on the job and at the Scout/Venturing/Sea Scout level unit. Through activities, games, events and adventures, NYLT participants will work hard and play hard together as they put into action the best Scouting has to offer. The primary goal of NYLT is to develop Scouts as leaders by teaching the skills necessary to manage group dynamics and performance. In 2026, Camp Long Lake will offer nearly 50 merit badges, exciting patrol competitions, and adventurous evening programs. Enjoy fantastic meals in our dining hall and dive into fun with our disc golf course, zip-line, and state-of-the-art activity center. It’s all set for an unforgettable summer! • Project First Class: First and second year Scouts work on basic Scouting skills to further their advancement in the program. • Adventures: Experience opportunities such as mountain biking, canoeing, whitewater rafting, waterpark events and much more! • Adult Training: Red Cross cerftifications for First Aid, CPR, and other exciting new opportunities. • Radio Station: Camp Long Lake will hit the air waves with our official Long Lake Radio where Scouts will be live on air.
